Creek Clean-Up

On this week’s creek walk, we found a recycle can down by the water. When we found it and other trash, we figured out that all of this garbage was from heavy rainfalls! We asked Mr. Graves about it, and he said that it had been there since the last big rain and that it was too much to carry. Since it is our job to pick up trash, we convinced him to let us try. So we filled it with the pieces of trash, and we dragged the garbage can up from the bushes. We decided we needed to take it back to the school.

I think it is a very odd thing to see. Something in the creek that is supposed to be helping our Earth (recycle can) is in our creek doing the opposite of helping our Earth. If you ever see any garbage in creeks or anywhere in general, you should pick it up because it is the right thing to do for the Earth . :)
